Rhizomatic Learning

In contrast to the traditional "tree-like" learning where knowledge is structured in a hierarchical list, rhizomatic learning sees knowledge as an organic and interconnected process.

You never know what insight you'll get from one line of investigation, and there are countless of ways to arrive at the same knowledge. You have to constantly Update your Assumptions. With learning goals, it should be expected that you may abandon a goal half-way if it has opened a more relevant path.

When Coaching or Mentoring someone, it is helpful to have goals that take this into account. For example, Template: Learning Goals or by Keeping a Journal.
